About the event

Jerry Brannigan introduces his new book, 12 Remarkable Scots, paying particular attention to local hero Jimmy Finlayson in his home town. Jimmy went from being a keen mamber of the Larbert Dramatic Club to working on Broadway. His subsequent move to Hollywood cemented his place in screen history, playing an integral part in the success of Laurel and Hardy and becoming one of the most instantly recognisable faces on the cinema screen.

Jerry will also address questions of his other 11 Remarkable Scots, such as; Why was Robert the Bruce crowned twice?
